FAQs
I offer therapy to adult women from all walks of life seeking deep, reflective work.
The clients I work with are often navigating:
- Emotional challenges: anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, neglect, social anxiety
- Mourning and Grief: infertility, miscarriage, loss of a loved one, unmet expectations
- Relational and attachment patterns: challenging family dynamics, early-life experiences, relationship difficulties
- Life transitions: new motherhood, career changes, major life events
- Demanding careers: dentists, lawyers, medical professionals, entrepreneurs, etc.
- Intense pressures: burnout, athletes, public-facing roles
- Health concerns: life-altering injuries, chronic pain, chronic illness
I understand that parenthood comes with unique needs. Therefore, infants are always welcome during sessions. I understand that may be what allows clients to receive care. If this ever impacts the ability to focus on you in session, we can always revisit what options feel best for you. I created this policy to support best ethical care, emotional safety, and accessible therapy, so it’s very flexible to fit the needs of each person.
My approach is personalized to each person’s goals and needs. In general, I use a relational approach informed by psychodynamic perspectives. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work, somatic, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) practices.
We explore the patterns in your life and relationships, focusing on how you relate to yourself and others. Sessions follow what feels most alive and meaningful for you, supporting insight, self-understanding, and a deeper sense of connection in your own way.
Free association talk therapy is often the foundation. However, I also integrate mindfulness, movement, expressive arts, role-play, narrative analysis, breath-work, and other tools when they are the best fit for you.
When Christian counseling is requested, I integrate breath prayers, scripture meditation, and other interventions that are best fit for you. For those who desire it, clients can integrate Scripture into their EMDR, IFS, and somatic work as they feel appropriate.
Whether we incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), or other specialized modalities, the foundation of this work is always rooted in experiencing therapy over time. Therapy is not only about understanding concepts intellectually. Meaningful change happens through consistently connecting with, understanding, and developing compassion for yourself within a safe, clinically grounded therapeutic space.
I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be fully yourself.
A session with me feels like slow mornings, sitting in your favorite corner of the couch, and saying the things that you have been rehearsing in your head. I hope to create a space so comfortable that you never have to perform or hold it all together.
My approach, while very intentional, is not overly clinical. I combine depth with warmth, making space for meaningful exploration. This is a space where you can bring any tangled thoughts, heavy stories, deep cries, laughter, or just the need to sit in silence.
I listen closely, focused on you. I don’t sit back silently and nod. I will wonder with you and ask questions. I’ll offer reflections and share patterns I see from a clinically-informed perspective. I hope to support you in developing greater compassion for the parts of yourself that feel misunderstood, conflicted, or fragmented. Then, we’ll collaborate to find supports for you.
Therapy with me is about understanding you, uncovering the unmet needs behind your feelings, noticing patterns that keep repeating, and giving your body and mind the support they need to recover. Wherever you find yourself, overwhelmed, stuck, grieving, or questioning, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Wherever you find yourself overwhelmed, stuck, grieving, or questioning, you and I will approach it with curiosity and compassion. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
